Determined Independence

She's been lauded as a hero for saving someone from a burning house.

She's been honored as one of the most accurate and swift in completion of her route.

She's handled the unexpected with aplomb, removing a snake from the mailbox she was delivering to.

She's raising her grandchildren and setting an example for them to live up to.

She's done all this in the face of a challenge that some would say is debillitating.

Meet postal carrier Anita Fee.

I’d still beat her in an ass kicking contest. Sorry, I’ve been kind of jocular today. Spring & all that.

I just thought her training regiment in bringing up grandkids might have included a bit of ass kicking and didn’t wish you to underestimate your opponent

Nope just a rare excuse to pull out an old joke.

Did sort of make my whining seem rather trivial.

When I broke my right ankle, I quickly developed an understanding of what it was like to maneuver around… up and down stairs, laundry, bathing…everything! I couldn’t imagine the obstacles and strength that this amazing goes through day in and day out. What an inspiration she is to others.. Great post!

It is another example of God ruining a perfectly good pity party for me! I was just getting going on one when I stumbled on this story and there went the pity-party.

Amen to that… speaking for myself, there are times I forget how good I have it. I believe many tend to look at those who have it WAY better and forget those that have it worse than ourselves. I believe we get slapped in the face when trials test our souls and or our pocket books to remind us to be more grateful. So many are spoiled by their riches and good health… not realizing or attempting to understand those who are less fortunate / homeless and ill health and the challenges they face. I love your posts!
