2013 Boston Marathon bombing survivor, Rebekah Gregory crossed the finish line in Monday's running of the Marathon. Gregory had endured more than a dozen surgeries due to the blast now uses a prosthetic leg. She only ran the last leg of the race this year as a compromise with her doctors, who advised her that she was not yet ready to attempt the full distance.
After the race she quoted on Facebook; "I have fought the good fight. I have finished the race. I have kept the faith. (2 Timothy 4: 7). Before the race she'd posted; "This is the day . . . . I take my life back."
In March after testifying in the trial of Dzhokhar Tsarnaev she wrote in her open letter to him that his act of terror only succeeded in making her stronger.
